Magritte recreation

Project Brief:

Combining imagery in Photoshop has become quite simple with AI. In this activity, the student will be replicating an original René Magritte painting in order to show their skill set in selecting, colorizing and manipulating layers in Photoshop.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Compositing images and photo editing using multiple layers
2. Layer adjustments, styles, filters and masks
3. Use of alternative selection methods

Deliverables:

1. Layered Photoshop composite file
2. Contact sheet comparing the original Magritte image and students’ composite
3. Contact sheet containing all original images used to create the composite
