Dominant Tint

    Dominant Tint

    Project Brief:

Students will create a montage with a recessive background and a centered, dominant focal point based on a 3-color, color scheme. Subject matter is students’ choice. Six images will be placed as background elements and colorized with an Adjustment layer. The center image will contain a second color, along with a dominant tint which will become the focal point. Students are provided with a Photoshop template.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Discover how color can be recessive or dominant
    2. Learn that the perception of color can be modified by placement and strength of a hue

    Deliverables:

    1. A photoshop document with a recessive background and a focal point created with a dominant tint.
