Color association

    Color Association

    Project Brief:

How is color perceived? Do individuals visualize blue as serene and calm, or cold and tense? Perhaps it depends on the subject matter; perhaps it depends on the tonal value of a hue. The two activities are personal interpretations of words and imagery, created with color and color schemes.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. To associate color with words and images
    2. To establish emotions with color schemes

    Deliverables:

    1. A 12-grid Illustrator file associating words and colors
    2. An Art Nouveau inspired illustration, colorized with two different color schemes, creating two alternate perceptions.
